About the Course

Anatomy: Musculoskeletal and Integumentary System is the first course in the Anatomy specialisation, curated by the University of Michigan, which aims to expose learners on how the musculoskeletal and integumentary systems protects the body and allows movement. Some disorders of the body related to the topic are:

  • Abnormal ossification

  • TMJ disfunction

  • Gland disfunction

Course Review

Having taken anatomy courses at university level, this course does give a brief introduction in the mechanisms behind the musculoskeletal and integumentary systems. However, such functions may be hard to visualise but Alsup does a brilliant job in making the course entertaining despite the depth that this course goes to.

Using a combination of anatomical models, students that act out certain mechanical processes and slides, it allows learners to follow along at their own pace and understand such mechanics on a deeper level. Highly recommended as an introductory anatomy course although the information provided may be quite complex at times.
